Docent

Docent is a contemporary art mobile app designed to help users discover and purchase art. Built with React Native and Expo, the app targets a luxury niche, necessitating a premium user experience across all aspects.

My role in this project involved developing and maintaining the main user interface of the app. This included implementing smooth animations and ensuring 60 FPS performance throughout the app. I collaborated closely with designers and project managers to align functionality with the app's visual and experiential goals.

A key challenge was maintaining a clean and scalable codebase while optimizing React Native components for maximum performance. Given the resource-intensive nature of state management in React Native, I focused on efficient handling to ensure smooth performance and responsiveness.
